Our Story
Shalom Home Care Foundation is a place of love, care, and support for children in need. Here, they can find a second family, with house moms and dads, staff, and volunteers who are dedicated to providing for their every need.
At Shalom Home Care, children are given the chance to thrive and grow, with access to warm showers, nutritious meals, clean clothes, and medical care. All the children attend school outside the home in an effort to assimilate them back to the community over time.
But Shalom Home Care is so much more than just a place to live. It’s a place where children can feel safe, loved and valued, surrounded by a community of people who care about their well-being and future. It’s a place where children can learn, grow, and build the foundations for a bright and successful future. And it’s all thanks to the dedicated staff, volunteers, and donors at Shalom Home Care Foundation.
What We Do
Basic Counselling:
With the help of the social worker’s counseling and the power of their faith, the children are able to overcome their past traumas and look towards a positive future.
Non-residents:
Shalom Home Care is all about spreading love and making a difference in the lives of children in need. Through its sponsorship program, we’re are able to support at least 50 more children who may not live at the home, but still benefit from our resources. Not only does this help there children succeed in their education, it also takes a weight off the shoulders of their families, who can focus on other priorities.
Spiritual Teachings:
At Shalom Home Care, the children are taught Christian values. They participate in Sunday school activities, including annual festivals, and are always ready to welcome visitors with angelic voices, singing gospel songs as a sign of appreciation. It’s a place where kids can learn and grow, all while being surrounded by love and positivity.
One-Time/ Monthly Donations
Shalom Home Care accepts online donations. Your gifts are 100% tax deductible. You have the option of giving a one-time donation or give monthly towards the various needs.
Child Sponsorships
You may choose to support a specific child at Shalom Home Care by contributing a monthly gift towards their care. At Shalom Home Care we have live-in kids as well as non-resident kids.
Volunteering & Mission Trips
Our two-week summer and December Mission Trips are open to anyone who would like to share thei love with the children of Shalom Home Care Foundation. We would love to include you in our next trip.
Friends of Shalom Home care
Join the “Friends of Shalom Home Care” today and make a lasting impact on the lives of kids in need. As a member, you’ll be supporting the home with a gift of $500 or more. Whether an individual or a business, your support is greatly appreciated.
